I need to find out information on the current utilisation of my VMware environment and be able to interigate it in excel…?!

A great tool for viewing your VMware environments, RVTools by Rob de Veij.

0. Download rvtools: https://www.robware.net/rvtools/

 

1. Install RVtools on any Windows machine (desktop, laptop, server)

 

2. Launch RVtools and enter the required information to connect to your vCenter or ESXi host:

 

3. Wait for RVtools to connect and gather your VMware details

 

4. Either view or export to CSV or Excel format

 

5. Open up your export and begin reviewing the VMware dump, an example of what can be exported for analyss is below:
